Houston’s Hot Chocolate 15K: All that and a bar of chocolate

Disclaimer: I’m promoting Houston’s Hot Chocolate 15K/5K as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review find and write race reviews!

A few weeks ago, I was selected to be part of the BibRave Pro team. As part of that awesome experience I get to review races and products that I like and I can choose to promote races that I think are worth the shoutout. The upcoming Houston Hot Chocolate 15K is one of the latter. I haven’t run it, but I have heard amazing things about it and if I lived closer I would jump into this race in a heartbeat.

Here’s a quick look at the deets:

So what’s so special about Hot Chocolate Houston? The obvious answer is, of course, CHOCOLATE!!! But I’ll get into that in a bit. Yes, there is definitely chocolate involved but there is also so much more. You also get a free training plan to get you to the finish line, a fun hot-chocolate-themed race medal, and these super-cute 3/4 zip technical shirts:

I took a look at some of the race reviews over on BibRave for the various Hot Chocolate races held across the country and the all say the same thing – amazing race with solid support and excellent attention to detail. That’s what I like to see when I’m considering a race, especially one that I might travel for.

In addition to all of this goodness, there is – of course – the one thing that truly sets this race apart from all others. Yes, now I am talking about the chocolate! Not only do you get loads of yummy chocolate when you cross the finish line, but you can also get your fill at sweet stations along the course. We’re talking dark chocolate, marshmallows, chocolate chips, M&Ms, and lots of other goodies.

Yeah, ok, sign me up!

Seriously, if my travels ever take me to a town where there is a Hot Chocolate race (you can check out the list of locations here,) I will be the first in line to sign up. Until then, I will just have to live vicariously through all of the amazing #HC15K posts on social media!
